Sichuan Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park covers an area of about 135,000 square meters and includes an agricultural exhibition hall, a conference center, the Tianfu Agricultural Civilization Museum, a cultural and creative incubation center, specialty streets, and outdoor exhibition areas, with a total building area of about 132,000 square meters.

Design Concept: The project abandons the traditional enclosed exhibition layout, using a “finger-like” layout that interweaves with the rural landscape. Outdoor exhibition areas are dispersed around the buildings, forming a “field-museum integration” model that embodies the idea of holding the agricultural expo “in the fields.”

Design Features:

• Eco-friendly and Energy-efficient: The main exhibition hall adopts a finger-like layout, blending with the rural landscape while providing covered outdoor exhibition spaces to meet the basic needs of weather protection. The exhibition area aims for near-zero energy consumption, aligning with the green and ecological concept of the agricultural expo.
• Colorful Membrane: To address the need for sunshade and rain protection, designers chose ETFE membrane for the roof of the outdoor exhibition spaces. Unlike traditional materials, ETFE is lightweight, translucent, and easily colored, enhancing the agricultural theme. The membrane can be pre-fabricated and installed on-site, improving feasibility.
