5,000㎡ In-House Manufacturing Facility
SkyTensile operates a 5,000㎡ in-house manufacturing facility dedicated to architectural membrane fabrication and tensile structure production. Having key manufacturing processes under one roof allows our team to coordinate production more closely with engineering requirements, project schedules and delivery plans.
Our facility supports the fabrication of different membrane materials and project configurations, from standard panels to complex geometries requiring precise pattern cutting and welding. Direct access to our manufacturing operation also allows project teams to communicate with the production team more efficiently during fabrication and technical coordination.
Membrane Materials We Manufacture
Our manufacturing facility supports the fabrication of several architectural membrane materials, allowing project teams to select the appropriate system according to design requirements, durability, transparency, fire performance and budget.
PTFE-coated fiberglass is used for permanent, high-performance tensile membrane structures where long service life, weather resistance and low maintenance are important.
ETFE film is used for lightweight and transparent architectural applications, including skylights, roofs, facades, cushions and other large-span structures.
PVDF-coated architectural fabric provides a practical balance between durability, appearance and project cost for applications such as sports facilities, walkways, canopies and commercial structures.
PVC-coated fabric provides a flexible and economical option for selected tensile membrane structures and architectural applications.
From Engineering Data to Finished Membrane Panels
Membrane fabrication begins with approved project data and production requirements. Our manufacturing team coordinates the fabrication process to ensure that membrane panels are produced according to the project geometry and installation requirements.
1. Production Data & Shop Drawing Coordination
Before fabrication, production data and approved drawings are reviewed to establish panel dimensions, cutting patterns, seams, connection details and other fabrication requirements.
2. Precision Pattern Cutting
Computerized cutting systems are used to produce accurate membrane patterns according to the approved fabrication data. Precise cutting is particularly important for projects involving complex geometries and multiple membrane panels.
3. Membrane Welding & Seaming
Specialized welding equipment is used according to the membrane material and fabrication requirements. Welding and seaming create the continuous membrane panels required for installation on site.
4. Quality Inspection
Fabricated panels are inspected for dimensional accuracy, seam quality and overall fabrication requirements before packing.
5. Panel Identification & Packing
Finished membrane panels are organized for shipment and installation, with packing coordinated according to the project requirements.
6. International Delivery
After fabrication and final inspection, the membrane package is prepared for international transportation and delivery to the project site.
